Next Coffee Shop Glendale "I spoke with the owner…the conversation was very polite.…He said he was not aware the sign prevented legal CCW from carrying. I explained the law he asked for sometime to discuss with his manager. I went back after a week…they decided to keep the sign up. They had someone come in one time with open carry it freaked the liberals out that were there even though there was no incident. Please go by and politely speak to the manager and let her know you will not spend your money there because of their stance against the Constitution."

Dark Horse Sports Bar & Grill Chandler "I called Dark Horse because a group of friends and I wanted to watch the Packers-Cowboys game and I needed to see if they allowed CCW permit holders to carry. The person answering the call had to check with someone and she came back and told me they were posted against it. When I asked her if she could tell me why they chose to post against it, she said Arizona has passed a law that all bars had to post against permit holders carrying. When I explained that the law leaves that decision to each individual bar she told me Dark Horse was posted and that was that. She didn't seem to care at all when I told her that because Dark Horse had chosen to post against us my friends and I could not give them our business."

This one really took us off guard since Toby Keith has performed at the NRA Annual Meeting and gives the appearance of supporting gun rights. Is Toby Keith anti-gun?!?! We hope that this is just a lapse in judgement and oversight making it look like Toby Keith is anti-gun. We need Toby, or the employees who answer to him, to step up and show his fans and customers this is not the blatant hypocrisy it might appear to be. We would like nothing better than to be proven wrong, but as more time passes we fear he is merely paying lip service to gun rights. -- Wilderness

R.T. O'Sullivan's Sports Grill (probably all due to corporate decision) Mesa "Apparently, they have 3 locations, but the one I visited was the Mesa one. I spoke to the manager, initially to thank him for not posting. Then he tells me they are indeed posting by the Liquor License inside. As I didn't go to the bar, I did not see it. They are not posted at any entrance, either main entrance or patio entrance. Talk about trying to turn honest citizens into criminals."

"Hiding" the sign is proving to be pretty common. This is not only disingenuous, but also unethical as they are knowingly drawing us into breaking the law for their financial benefit while apparently being too cowardly to respect our beliefs or standing up for their own anti-gun beliefs. We try to focus on supporting those who support us, but this sort of deceptive trick really rubs us the wrong way and we will make every effort to expose it. We suggest managers and owners have the courage to make a decision and stand behind it - whatever it is. -- Wilderness
