It is rectangular with zippers and outside pockets. However, up close and personal you will see the difference between the WPRB and the "many others". This is a substantial bag whose heft and construction reflect it’s quality and durability. We guarantee this bag lives up to our motto: "OVERKILL NEVER FAILS”. While expensive, it is an investment in a bag that we custom-build for you to last a lifetime.We started out looking at other range bags. There are a multitude of other choices from good to poor. One of them actually came apart while we scrutinized it. Had we thought they passed muster and were good enough, we would not have designed and made a range bag and you would not be reading this. Had we not chosen a different, more modular path, we would not have moved forward.The total squared measure is just over 15-1/4" x 11-3/4". The two outside pockets are each 2-1/4" x 8" x 12-1/2". The main bodies of the outside pockets are padded and have YKK 10 zippers, while the envelope pockets sewn to them are not padded and have YKK 8 zippers. One of the main outside pockets has the zipper on three sides allowing it to open fully with Velcro loop seen to the main body side and bottom to facilitate options. The other main outside pocket has a YKK 10 top zipper.The main body internal size is just over 14-1/2" x 7" x 9". There is Velcro loop on all four sides of the main body pocket to accept options. The top opening is a double-zipper configuration with the zippers positioned four inches apart running the full length if the bag. There are four 1" "D" rings positioned under the carry handles. The shoulder strap attachment points are double 2" "D" rings on each end to attach any snap hook shoulder strap or a strap with no hardware at all by feeding the ends through the "Ds" as you would with a belt.The Velcro fields on the inside of the main body and pockets allow the addition of a wide variety of modules, so you can truly tailor your bag to suit your needs and budget today or over time. These inserts also let you change the configuration of the bag instantly and repurpose the bag at any time. Numerous modules are available from the options selections above.There is a strip of Velcro loop on the 3-sided zippered outside pocket for I.D. or morale patches. On the top-opening panel there are two 4-way patches for attaching more gear using our optional 1" Utility Straps. The underside of this top-opening panel has more Velcro loop material sewn to it for patch storage or pouch attacment. When our optional Velcro key fob snaphook is attached to one of the bag's side double D-rings, you can secure the rolled up panel with its Velcro hook panel.NOTE: You may see points on the bag where our multi-stitching shows. It may not be as neat looking as a single stitch, but it sure as hell is stronger. Don't be concerned about the multi-stitching damaging the material; we use only ballpoint needles which separates the fabric instead of cutting it.
